England – League One
Date: Tuesday, 6 November 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: MEMS Priestfield Stadium (Gillingham).

The hosts are looking forward to getting away from the danger zone and with two straight victories they managed to move up towards the middle of the table. However, Gillingham are not safe yet as the relegation zone is just three points behind them.

Tom Eaves and the lads have been clinical in front of the oppositions’ goal, but their poor defending brought them into the trouble. After three straight defeats at home ground, the hosts managed to book two victories in front of their fans.

Blackpool are sitting in the middle of the table and two straight defeats moved them away from the battle for one of the promotion playoff places. However, they are not too far from the top six as Accrington Stanley are six points ahead of them.

But, Terence McPhillips’ side needs to get back on winning track if they want to catch up the promotion zone. The visitors have been putting tight displays at away grounds and although they’ve been defeated just once when playing away from home, they were involved in four draw matches.

Head-to-head

Both sides have been equally successful in their head to head clashes and they’ve managed to book three victories each.

Gillingham have celebrated three times at home ground, while Blackpool managed to get back home with a win twice.

Their encounters are usually pretty efficient ones and the crowd is able to enjoy goals in both nets.

Prediction

Another tight clash is ahead of us and although the hosts are four points behind their rivals, they are in better momentum. This one is very hard to predict, but Gillingham might be able to continue their winning streak.

Although Blackpool have been involved in a lot of low scoring matches so far in the season, there will be a lot of space for them to show their attacking potential. As the hosts are pretty efficient as well as their heads to head clashes, we might be able to see at least three goals in this one.
