Valladolid vs Huesca
Spain LaLiga2 – Round 8
Referee: Lahoz A. (Esp)
Venue: Estadio José Zorrilla (Valladolid)
Date: Saturday October .7

Two of La Liga’s (LL) newly-promoted teams meet when tenth-placed Valladolid welcome second-bottom Huesca for a battle of the two relegation favourites, in a game that could already be seen as a ‘six-pointer’ for both teams.
After failing to register a win in their first five games (D3, L2), fortune has played its part in two-straight victories for Valladolid, with one of their opponents seeing a red card while the other missed penalty.
With narrow defeats (2 x 1-0) at home to Barcelona and high-flying Alaves and no away defeats (W1, D3), Valladolid could claim to have started the season fairly well.
Their fellow promotees aren’t inspiring confidence after their first LL promotion ever. A penalty-filled 1-1 draw in their last game saw Huesca’s winless run extend to six games (D2, L4), a run which which included an 8-2 hammering at Barcelona and gives them a -10 goal difference – the worst in LL.
Four of Huesca’s five points this season have, however, been gained on the road (W1, D1, L2), and their two defeats were against top clubs.
Players to watch: With four league goals between them this term, Valladolid youngsters Leonardo Suarez and Enes Unal may give the ageing and depleted Huesca defence the runaround.
With leading goalscorer Alex Gallar out, Huesca have two recognised forwards with Cucho grabbing a sole goal from seven games.
Stat attack: Since 2010 each team has five H2H wins in all competitions.
Their last three H2H meetings here have seen drama with two red cards and a penalty.
Five of Valladolid’s LL games this season have seen under 1.5 goals scored.
Huesca have been losing at half-time in four of their last five games, and were losing at half-time in this fixture last season (LL2).
